Bodo, Romania, Timis

A romanian village with 1400 Inhabitants. Founded in 1401 with the name "Bodofalva", that was shortened in centuries to "Bodo". "Bodofalva" was an hungarian colony in medieval times. Later the "reformation" gained acceptance (1300 Inhabitants are evangelic) - catholic (70) und geek-orthodox (20). Today there are no hints on a jewish community.

But it is known that a  in israel popular musician and actor once lived here and left the village in the 50's. He took the name of the village as an artist name: Yakoov Bodo!
