It may seem blasphemic: But the question if "Bodo" is god can only be answered with: "yes" – at least one ancient celtic god. But also saints, abbots and converts bear that first name.
In many religions traces of "Bodo" can be found. The Reason might be the origin and meaning of the stem of "Bodo" in the indoeropean language: The Meaning of *b(h)eudh: awaken, to be awaken – in sense of "to be enlightened".
There are also Hints that the german word for praying (beten) seems to have its origin in that same indoeuropean root (*bheudh,
-->old sax. biodan,-->german. bieten, beten).
